Berlin - November - 2017 I am just guessing based upon abdominal pattern, which is visible in the attached photo. The dark lines on tergite 3 appear to be triangular but i think that this is a dark area of the wing. I noticed an old post about limbata which led me to kuntzei and the pattern seems to fit. could it be kuntzei? The triangular spots are on the abdomen; consequently the fly is Drosophila histrio. |

Thank you, Jan. For some reason i thought that the triangle was a dark spot on the wing. Thank you for correcting me and identifying the fly. Unfortunately, the photos are not very good because my lens ring was broken at the time. I didn't know until november. I had to enact my warranty to get the lens repaired. I didn't get it back until April of the following year. John and Nini. Naturalists not experts. |
