Hi, found this 4 mm Tachinid (?) on 190728 in my garden (Ansbach, DE-Middle-Franconia, near old deciduous forest) and I wonder if it is a Phytomyoptera minutissima (or zonella)? Any help is very much appreciated! Thanks, Eric eklans attached the following image: ![]() [23.57Kb] Edited by eklans on 25-08-2019 17:23 |

Hi, here's another image showing better the red frontal vitta and long intra-alars. Possible to be Phytomyptera/Elfia? Thanks, Eric eklans attached the following image: ![]() [16.88Kb] |

In these cases, when you have one very obvious feature but are otherwise lost, it might be very convenient to use www.tachinidae.eu. Theo |

Hi Theo, I know the Mosch Web (tachinidae.eu) and it helped me a lot already. In this case, I was lost, and I will now try to find out why. Thank you and greetings, Eric |
