Berlin - July 2019 Hello everyone, i think that this is a Culex species but i'm not sure. I suppose that pipiens is the most common species, so i label it C. pipiens. Confirmation or a better suggestion will be nice if possible. Thank you. johnes81 attached the following image: ![]() [33.4Kb] Edited by johnes81 on 28-07-2019 23:32 John and Nini. It is a male Culex, probably pipiens, but separating the species in that group is difficult - in a few years you will be able to buy a hand-held sequencer that will be able to give you an answer ... Tony ---------- Tony Irwin |

Thank you Sir Tony, you are greatly appreciated. I like the idea of a hand held sequencer. Very exciting! looking forward to it ![]() as usual, i will make microscopic photos and view genitalia eventually. I hope that you have a splendid night. John and Nini. Naturalists not experts. |
