The photos below show a male Tipula paludosa that had the misfortune to land in my pond (Buckinghamshire, UK), where it was promptly devoured by a gang of pond skaters Gerris gibbifer.

Not a nice way to goSad

(Hope I don't offend any dipterophiles with this rather tragic thread ...)
