birght yellow heared fly in Greece

Dear all,

this tiny beauty was found on 27.04.2019 in Dadia forest, northern Greece (close to Turkey).
Thankful for any hint.

I would suggest Merodon equestris, though I have no idea about Greek species. In the Central Europe I would be sure.

More like belong to Merodon aeneus complex of several cryptic species.

Oh yes, tibiae 1 and 2 seem to be pale.
