Hello,
I have only this one photo of this fly.
Is it one of the Macrocerinae?
Data:
19.8.2012, light trapping in the own garden, Furth im Wald, Bavarian Forest, Germany.

Kind regards
Ingrid

It looks like Macrocera fascipennis.
It has a separate dark spot on wing margin between veins of posterior fork.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
