Berlin - June 2018

I have a male and female specimen of what appears to be Neoitamus cyanurus. I'm hoping for a confirmation.

Thank you for your time.

Hello Reinoud, how are you? I hope that all is well for you Smile

I forgot to tell you a funny story about these two:

i was walking along a path in a forest today and i saw something sitting on a leaf. i realized that it was mating diptera. i quickly moved to the leaf with my macro and i startled them. They flew away. I was very upset. I wanted to photograph them. I was somewhat yelling about it. I was searching all around the area. I walked through a few bushes. I gave up the search after five or six minutes. I figured that they left the area. A few minutes of walking further along the path, my Wife calls out "the robberflies are on your bum". These two flew around me, then landed on my bum. They walked around on my bum for maybe ten minutes. Unbelieveable. Smile

a few minutes after we removed them from my bum, we were walking further along the path and my Wife tells me that another robber fly landed on my bum. I have no idea why they keep landing on my bum. I am still laughing about it. Crazy robber flies Smile

Thank you very much for confirmation. I hope that you have a pleasant night.
