Hallo Horst, ich glaube das ist eine Calliopum (Lauxaniidae) Art.

English for non-German speaking members = is this fly indentifiable?
Hello Horst, I believe that it is a Calliopum (Lauxaniidae) species.

Hallo Herr Jux,

Nachgewiesene Calliopum-Arten in Deutschland:
C. aeneum, C. elisae, C. geniculatum, C. simillimum and C. splendidum

C. geniculatum hat dunkle Hintertibiae, d. h. es ist nicht C. geniculatum.

Ich glaube, dass es entweder Calliopum aeneum oder Calliopum elisae ist. (Schluessel von Schacht, Kurina, Merz and Gaimari, 2004)

Vielleicht kann ein Experte die Art naeher bestimmen.

English:
Hello Sir Horst (Mr. Jux),

recorded (or known) Calliopum species in Germany:
C. aeneum, C. elisae, C. geniculatum, C. simillimum and C. splendidum

C. geniculatum has dark hind tibiae, so this is not C. geniculatum.

I believe that it is either Calliopum aeneum or Calliopum elisae (keys from Schacht, Kurina, Merz and Gaimari, 2004).

Maybe an expert can determine which one ...

John and Nini. Naturalists not experts.
