Hello again, here is another Sciomyzid. I think it could be Euthycera fumigata but there are a lot of similar species (or genera) which I'm unable to distinguish. Could someone here give me a hint, please? Found on "wild" grassland (with a great variety of herbs) on 20th June 2007 near a forest. It isn't easy to distinguish genuses Euthycera and Limnia, nessesary characters (hairs onmeso- and pteropleuron) hardly visible on photo. This time it is Limnia, probably male of Limnia unguicornis, but impossible to be 100% sure. Nikita Nikita Vikhrev - Zool Museum of Moscow University |
