* date - 2007.08.14
* size - 7 mm (medium fly)
* habitat - openland
* substrate - on sand

Which is this asilid?

A very interesting specimen, seems to be a species of the genus Choerades, but fore and mid tibiae seems to be pale in image 1. So you must check the proboscis for excluding Pogonosoma etc. Yours
