Hoverfly for ID

I took this picture in North Devon ,and unfortunately it was the only shot I managed before the hoverfly sped off. I don't know if anyone can help with an ID from this angle ,but any help would be much appreciated .

Hello creaturesnapper,

Its a Syrphidae; Meliscaeva auricollis. The spots with the oblique hind margin on the abdomen are the feature to look for.
