Thank you. Might be Fannia laevis (Stein). Most species near canicularis have only one row of parafrontal setulae, according to Chillcott's revision. Edit: Unless the row along the inside edge of the parafrontals doesn't count as one of the two; then it's probably canicularis. The key to California species says canicularis has prealar replaced by setulae like my fly, while laevis has it strong. Edited by John Carr on 11-04-2016 23:50 |
