I photographed this fly in Still bay, South Africa on 22/03/2016. I thought it might be Tachinidae and I note the eyes are quite hairy which I thought was interesting. I think the size was around 6-7mm but unsure. I would like to confirm the Family and progress ID if possible. Single photo only I'm afraid. I am sorry. It looks like a Tachinid indeed, but I do not know the African fauna enough to definitely exclude Sarcophagidae. Theo |
