Anthomyiidae from Romania

Any idea about this one (Eustalomyia sp.?). I reared it from a pupae found in a dead deciduous wood, together with some ants (it is any correlation between the pupae and the ants?). From North-East of Romania, 23.02.2016.![]()

Eustalomyia, and the habitat is typical. Larvae are kleptoparasites in nests of Crabronidae. Possibly they could even be cannibals, if the wasp stocked its nest with captured adult Anthomyiidae. |
