can this Asilidae fly be identified further? Found in Italy, near Merano, wood in approx. 1400 msm, 2014-09-29.

Tolmerus/Machimus sp. It is a female of a group of very hard to id species.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
