Following European keys I get to C. auriceps, but there there are only a few species and this species lacks basal scutellar bristle (Zeegers)(IBERIA: Girona: Beuda, 400 masl, July 19th 2015, dead in a pool)

So what could this be? Please, if there is a any more detail needed, please ask.

Rafael

Cylindromyia:
- Bend of M at a right or acute angle [ERROR]
- M without a stub and prolongation
- Cell r4+5 with a petiole ranging between 1/4 - 1/3 of postangular section of M
- Abdomen mainly red or yellowish

Species:
- Hind tibia with 2 pv-bristles
- Crossed apical scutellar bristles present
- Abdomen with discal bristles.
- Third segment of antenna ratio length/wide= 2.16 (=13/6)
- Basal scutellar bristles present

The head profile is off.
I think you will see 3 post IA bristles.

It should be Hyperaea, need to check the species.

It is a female, these are pretty difficult.
It keys out to H. femoralis and that is the species to be expected in Spain.
