Well, I would have thought this was vigilax. Seems to have most of the diagnostic characters. (But I am looking at the photos, not the specimen! )

You are probably right. I thought the abdominal markings were quite different though. Compare with this picture which is A. vigilax (female). Also the palps are not tipped with white. Graeme Cocks attached the following image: ![]() [32.36Kb] |

I feel the differences are OK for intraspecific variation (given that so many of the characters are due to the colour and distribution of deciduous scales)
