First time I've spotted this one- a nearly all green fly. Taken today South coast UK on a potentilla flower. 4.1mm body length Any ideas ? Thanks Brian V. ![]() ![]() |

Hi Brian - cracking shots of a Meromyza (Chloropidae). Unfortunately the species are difficult to separate without reference to male genitalia, which this female does not have!

Thickened hind femu of yellow/green with black chloropid: almost always Meromyza.
