Could someone identify this species, undoubtedly the largest Robber Fly I have ever seen (min. 4cm). Found at Krung Ching, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province, Thailand on 14 February 2016.

This is Laphria (Pagidolaphria) cf. gigas: indeed, a spectacular monster-predator of SE Asian forests!
