It is a female Cheilosia, thus a difficult genus. This fly belongs to a group with orange antennae and hairy eyes (so it cannot be C. pagana). The book "Keys to the Insects of the European part of USSR" (vol. V part 2 by Bei-Bienko and Steyskal 1989) would be helpful, but it is not completely displayed in the internet. So I am at my wit's end... |
