Suriname, Brokopondo, Brownsberg plateau (about 500m asl). Night of 23-XI-2015. On light installation with HPL.

I'd guess this is an Asilidae. Anyone able to put a genus name to it?

Asilidae: Laphriinae -- Atomosiini: looks to be an Oidardis sp., male. Do you have more detail of face or hind leg?
