Suriname, Brokopondo, Brownsberg plateau (about 500m asl). Night of 23-XI-2015. On light installation with HPL.

Any thoughts on the ID of this beautiful specimen?

Thanks!

Stratiomyidae

I could look at literature and make a guess for these, but I bet somebody here will recognize them on sight.

It is a Raphiocerinae, they are all very characteristic, but the latest revisions are such a mess, I can not find a genus for it....

A belated thank you, Maddin! Has it by now become possible to put a genus name on this specimen, or is the taxonomy/nomenclature still too messy?

I will try to fix the messages this month. We have to make some other configuration changes before software goes out of support at end of year.
