Hello everyone,

who can help me to identify this larva? I'm not sure about the order.

Length about 8 mm.

Many thanks!

Lennart

Hi,

only a guess: weevil larva (subfamily Hyperinae)?
Best regards,
Jürgen

Thank you, Jürgen. You're right, the Hypera larvae I can find in the internet look very similar and I've found several Hypera cocoons and imagines here in summer. Only the orange stripes are a bit confusing... I can't find another specimen with this character.
