Hello,

today I've seen a couple of specimen of this (syrphid?) species. I'm not even sure about family, so I post it in the Diptera-section.

The bugger were nearly 10mm, I've seen them on La Gomera (E - Canary Islands) on Las Pilas, close to Valle Gran Rey, about 650 meter above sea level.
The two pics are from two different specimen, so I'm not even sure, if they belong to the same species (although it seems to be pretty likely).

Thanks for any help,

Marc
