No it's not. This is Eristalis anthophorina, you can find some images on bugguide.net (http://bugguide.net/node/view/17286/bgimage)
Btw, why are you posting it in the Asilidae forum? This is a syrphidWink

Simply a lapsus calami - doing too many things at the same timeSad
Found a description of this species: dense yellow pile on periphery of thorax; orange spots on tergite 2; black tarsi; yellow pilose face.
