Dobry den, Mihailo

This is a very interesting record. It looks like Bibio johannis at first glance, but my gut feeling shouted out NO. So I contacted the real expert, J.-P. Haenni, and he pointed out it is Bibio femoralis. The colouration and shape of hind metatarsus are characteristic and indeed that is what my gut saw. This is a pretty rare species and the record is from very early in the season.
All credits to J.-P. Haenni for this.

And if you can collect more, please do and send a couple over !

Greetings

Theo

I will try to fix the messages this month. We have to make some other configuration changes before software goes out of support at end of year.
