Hi, which size? If 10 mm+, maybe Polietes lardarius female? Best regards, Jürgen -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Juergen Peters Borgholzhausen, Germany WWW: http://insektenfo... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |

Polietes lardarius or meridionalis, hard to rule here. EDIT: changed mediterranea -> meridionalis. Edited by Stephane Lebrun on 20-01-2015 22:26 Stephane. |

@Jürgen - Sorry I didn't record the size of this fly. But Polietes lardarius seems probable. @Stephane - It looks like Polietes mediterranea isn't found in Belgium, so I guess it will almost certainly be Polietes lardarius. Thank you! |

I wrote mediterranea instead of meridionalis, I edit to correct, sorry. It is present in France and Germany, so it has a chance to be in Belgium. Stephane. |

Thanks, Stephane! At least in Belgium, Polietes meridionalis seems to be far more common than P. lardarius. |
