Hi,

Got this friend in Spain asking me what this is. I don't know myself so I'm asking you guys. I'm guessing a beetle larvae, but it's just a guess.

Know what species it is?
photographed in southern Spain today.

The habitus matches more that of the Lepidoptera family Sphingidae.
