Spotted yesterday with my friends Marc Pollet and Anja in Serra da Estrela, more precisely near Manteigas in a DOLI paradise. Smile

Clusiodes albimanus species group with only two fronto-orbital bristles. Looks very interesting.

Jindrich has replied:
"it will be necessary to see (or examine) the gonostylus of this Clusiodes. It could be also C. caledonicus or C. gentilis. From you photos I would suggest C. caledonicus as the most probable.

Sincerely

Jindrich" Grin

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
