Rhingia rostrata is the correct? Found: 1.9.2013, Slovakia-Kosice, 250m a.s.l.

Though the snout is quite long, I would say it is a bit curved downwards. The lateral margins of the tergites are not very dark, and the thorax colour is a bit bluish... So Rhingia rostrata seems rather probable, the characters are, however, somewhat intermediate. Check the key http://web.archiv...n_key.html yourself and compare with http://www.nature...rostrata-0.
