Dear dipterists
Anybody have a clue, if adult sphaerocerid flies feed (and thus defaecate) ?

I think they feed by 'drinking' from the substrate. I know they defecate because when I have larger number of flies in my exhauster its surface hets riddles with small drop(ping)s.
