hi! last weekend i found this fly on top of the Boubín-mountain at the bohemian forest in czech republik. it fly arount a viewing tower on top of the mountain and was obviously hill-topping. my search through the forum showed me resemblance with Cephenemyia stimularor, but i couldn´t find out, if other species of the genus look similar. is my guess right? how can the other species be distinguished? thank you! regards, kurt |

By the way, Cephenemyiini is now just a tribe in the subfamily Oestrinae. Theo |
