The arista seems to be feathery, so it should be a female of Eristalis arbustorum (compare http://www.dipter...d_id=55956). Unfortunately we cannot see if the apex of the middle tibia is darkened. By the way, did you really capture it (in this case, why just one pic? ![]() Regards, Sundew |

Thank you Sundew. I did capture this one but taking a photo is not easy even in captivity :-) Generally, they do not like their photos taken :-) David |
