I managed to photograph a series of this attractive fly. The genus looks good, but I was unable to ID any closer. Hoping a member of this amazing site can help me progress.

The image was captured alongside a small stream and paddy fields. Altitude 1000m. Outskirts of Bandung, west Java, Indonesia.

Thankyou very much Gerard.

I have renamed the thread accordingly.
