Hi all, I have some crazy midge from this summer, in a shady forested area. Normally I don't do those Nematocera, but this one struck my attention. I assume it to be some Ceratopogonidae, but I'm not shure of that. Any help on family ID is welcome, sorry for the bad pictures. Thank you both, allready more then I expected! Is there any literature available to ID this one? I found some keys to Holarctic and Australian Serromyia, but not for Palearctic.. Bye |

Thank you, luckily, the PDF is online (http://decapoda.nhm.org/pdfs/37065/37065.pdf) I will have time this weekend to check all features. I will get back here once ID is complete. I'm really astonished by this one :-) Thanks! |
