I collected these two flies from Tottenham cemetery this morning. I have to assume they're signatus as they're on Ivy in late september. Are they both males, and how does one tell? Jeremy jeremyr attached the following image: ![]() [27.79Kb] |

This should be a female with the pronounced zigzag marking on the abdomen which is also proportionally longer than in the male. Several Conopidae in the Gallery are misidentified re male/female. Steve |
