This amazing little fly was sitting on a leaf by a rivulet in beech forest in N Burgos province, N Spain on September the 23rd 2012. No idea even of the family. Help, please!!

Thanks a lot, Paul!! ![]() I have gone through my pictures again and found this one where a lateral view of the abdomen can be seen better. Does it confirm elegans? I think so
