Another UK specimen for the attention of those who know more than I do. ![]() Location: SJ491852, suburban front garden Date: 2012-09-15 Ambient conditions: Bright sunshine, warm, humid. Numerous Lepidoptera nectaring on adjacent Buddleias during the photography of this specimen. A quick check of the Syrphidae images here suggests that Sphaerophoria scripta is a possible ID for this specimen, but of course, I'm aware that there are people who know more than I do, who may well be thinking "oh dear". ![]() Needless to say, I'll be very pleased if I have alighted upon the right ID myself for this!
