Only managed these 3 pictures and no lateral shot. And looks like it is a female. Not very promising. But any help to say something more specific than 'Tachinidae'Grin will be most appreciated Smile

How can I recognize the Stomina genus? I am sure I am going to find many more of these in my pictures from last August Wink Seemed to be pretty common Smile

Have a lateral look at the head, the mouth margin is strongly projecting. Moreover, the arista is (often shortly) plumose.

All of which is invisible in the pictures above....

(Erikas recognized the specific abdominal pattern, I guess.)
