This is one of my favourite Diptera, but I've not as yet managed to put a convincing name to it, can anyone help? Photographed, as always, near Rome in Italy. Thanks a million, Sarah

Oops, the subfamily is Milesiinae, the tribe might be Eristalini.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
