found this Culex sp. full of blood, can someone help me with the sp. identification?

Looks like a Culex, OK, but without a specimen, I wouldn't want to take it further. Frown

I thought it was more simple, because here we have just the C. pipiens and the Aedes albopictus (the most commons in Northeast Italy).

In Slovenia, there are 5 species of Culex, and many other mosquitoes in other genera. I think there will be at least that many in NE Italy.

So, we have different mosquitos in North Italy, Central Italy and Sud Italy, for example the Aedes albopictus is only in the NE Italy and some Sicily city (Sud Italy).
