Horse fly from Hong Kong: Tabanus sp.

Found yesterday on a minibus to a rural village - the driver claimed that the fly has stayed in the vehicle for three days.

Could it be a species close to T. makimura or T. hybridus?

I would need the specimen to say more. My experience in the Oriental is limited.
