Looks like a very dark Eriothrix rufomaculata to me Manager of the UK Species Inventory in the Angela Marmont Centre for UK Biodiversity at the Natural History Museum, London. |

Hmm, yes. Looks like the 'amount of braun' is variable here. Doh mine also has a bit of it . Thanks. Edit: apparently right naming is Eriothrix rufomaculatus, at least by PESI database. Google is full of both namings.
