Hello! Can anyone help me with the id of this tachinid? I found it in an area with wet meadows, orchards and deciduous forest (chestnuts, oaks, laurels ...). The area is located in northwest Spain, near the coast, temperate climate.
Also in: http://www.biodiversidadvirtual.org/insectarium/details.php?image_id=379619

Perhaps Phasia obesa? 19/07/2012

Thanks!

Sorry, i have problems with the photo, i wil try again....

I'm guessing Phasia aurigera (female) but I don't see this species here so I might be wrong Smile

Thank you very much Chris, I look for the species comparing with photos of the site and I'm never sure, but I also know that most are very difficult to identify by photos (sorry for my english) Wink

I will try to fix the messages this month. We have to make some other configuration changes before software goes out of support at end of year.
