Tanypodinae with a load of water mites. I think Pentaneurini; the pale abdomen with dark bands is found in several genera. In Pentaneurini C ends at or very close to the tip of R5. In some other tribes it is distinctly extended past the end. The difference is hard to see in photos when R5 curves at the tip, as it seems to here. |
