I've used a key to genus Sylvicola (http://www.online-keys.net/infusions/keys/keys_view.php?key_no=1), but can't decide which species it is, but this must be subgenus Anisopus.

Might this be S. stackelbergi, fuscatus or punctatus? Have photos of genitalia, but not very good ones.
Found outside my apartment in Bodø, northern Norway, today (20.05.12). Size is between 9 and 10 mm.

I can't comment on the species identity, but Geir Søli in Oslo has found stackelbergi both in Eastern Norway and Finnmark. It should occur in Bodø as well.

Thanks, if I compare with the drawings in the key it should be stackelbergi, none of the other Anisopus have the same structures it seems (tuft of hair basally on gonoxites and also projections from gonoxites pointing inwards exactly as in drawings). But very hard to photograph... And this is the first time I've tried to identify a Sylvicola male.

Appears to be stackelbergi, yes.

Thank you for commenting. I did not know it was found in Finnmark also.

I will try to fix the messages this month. We have to make some other configuration changes before software goes out of support at end of year.
