Hi,

I've not seen this one before, please could anyone tell me what it might be?

It was found briefly sat on a log in the sun today,on the sussex downs UK,with meadow, stream and mixed wood nearby.

I cant remember the zoom setting i used,so cant give an exact size, but small, maybe 2mm.I didnt have my flash so had to do my best without it today.

I had a look in the diptera gallery and in a few other online pic collections, but couldnt find one like it.

many thanks Smile

I wouldn't call this a bark louse (as far as I know bark lice are Psocoptera). I think this specimen belongs to the family Triozidae (Homoptera: Psylloidea).

Agree with Jan- it's a Psyllid (jumping plant louse)
