Zambia Tabanidae Haematopota sp. A Date 24.i.11. Size 8mm Miombo Woodland. Location: On me (This may be conspecific with my sp. B) This belongs to the denshamii group which is characterised by unbroken stripes on the thorax, but I'm not sure of the species. H. pertinens is recorded in the literature as common but then there should be pale spots on the abdomen? Only this individual taken. Steve sd attached the following image:  [107.29Kb] |
