A dorsal view. Hope I am not mistaken and I see correctly that it has dark cross veins up the R cell.

no. this is *not* a Myopa dorsalis at all.

Yes, it covers the Spanish species but it takes me to Myopa pellucida and I seriously doubt that my first decently photographed Myopa is going to be that one Smile In my nearly nill experience with these, I must be making a mistake somewhere. Firstly, I am not sure if I have to consider the wings hyaline or not. The is a slight spot that confuses me. I truely need help with this one Shock

This is in the testacea group, and is most probably Myopa pellucida
