A rather cold tachinid wondering where spring went.... I won't even begin to guess what it is, but can offer various angles of this bristly fly to give those that know them a chance to suggest an ID.

Not really enough visible for me to say ... I like a good dorsal shot in the mix somewhere otherwise we're on a sticky wicket trying to work it out Smile Maybe a Phryxe again ... but I am not sure.

Thanks for trying Chris. Sorry no top shots - it was too high up in a hedge and with the first glimmer of sunshine (lasted 15 secs) it was off..
